GENERAL DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Operations Manager – Outsourced Manufacturing to lead end-to-end operational execution for outsourced manufacturing of our electro-mechanical products.
You will act as the primary operational interface between internal teams and external plastic, PCB assembly, and contract manufacturing partners, ensuring product availability, quality, and on-time delivery to support customer orders.
This role requires strategic oversight, operational execution skills, and strong cross-functional collaboration in a high-mix manufacturing environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead Supplier Operations: Own day-to-day execution and performance of outsourced manufacturing partners, including plastic components, PCB assemblies, and full product builds.
- Production Planning & Alignment: Translate forecasts and customer orders into actionable build plans with suppliers, ensuring on-time delivery and adequate inventory.
- Quality & Compliance Oversight: Ensure supplier adherence to quality standards, manage ECOs, NPIs, and coordinate corrective actions when issues arise.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Customer Support to resolve production challenges and mitigate risks.
- Risk & Cost Management: Identify and address supply chain and manufacturing risks, support cost-reduction initiatives, and implement alternate sourcing strategies when needed.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor supplier KPIs (OTD, quality, yield), analyze operational performance, and provide timely reporting to leadership.
- Inbound & Fulfillment Coordination: Manage the flow of finished goods to internal facilities, resolving discrepancies and prioritizing orders to meet customer commitments.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance supplier performance, optimize production processes, and strengthen operational efficiency across outsourced manufacturing.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
- 7–10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, preferably within electronics, electro-mechanical, or high-mix product environments.
- Proven experience managing outsourced manufacturing and contract manufacturers.
- Strong background in production planning, supplier performance management, and operational execution.

- Annual Salary Range: $100,000.00 CAD to $120,000.00 CAD
